The Financial Training Scheme (“FTS”) are targeted at promoting financial sector training. The FTS supports recognised training programmes. IBF is the Funding Administrator for FTS funding.

The support package includes:

  • Course fee subsidies for FTS programmes set to 30%/70% (depending on age).
  • Company-sponsored individuals (SC/PRs) pay net course fees

FTS funding is not claimable for non-company sponsored participants of a financial institution.

We will require NRIC records and other personal data for the purpose of verification of identity and administering the enhanced course fee subsidies.

Appointed representatives are expected to undergo continuing education so as to keep abreast of developments in the financial advisory industry and update their skills and knowledge in relation to the type of financial advisory services they provide.

Under MAS Notice FAA-N13 and SFA 04-N09, appointed representatives are required to undertake structured CPD, which includes a minimum of 6 training hours* in respect of Ethics; or Rules and Regulations, or both (referred to as Core CPD hours)

* Only training hours of courses in Ethics or Rules and Regulations or both, as the case may be, which are accredited by IBF or SCI will be counted towards the Core CPD hours.

Formal requests must be made to access and request correction of personal data. You are required to complete the respective forms below, and only upon approval of the Data Protection Officer will your request be entertained.

You can follow the guide below on how to use the mobile application:

  1. Go to 'AppStore' for iOS users or 'GoogleStore' for android users.
  2. Search for 'TalentLMS' in the search text box.
  3. Install the mobile application.
  4. Open the app and type in '' in the text box labelled 'Domain' and tap 'Next'.
  5. Type in your username and password; then tap 'SIGN IN'.

Please follow the guide below on how to download the course:

  1. Select which course you would like to see and tap it.
  2. For example, tap 'Portfolio Management Process' to download the course.
  3. Wait for the download to be completed.
  4. Tap to start the course.

It is recommended to run and view the courses either with 4G connectivity or Wi-Fi.

If your screen becomes landscape in portrait mode, try to unlock your screen orientation setting and view in landscape mode.

If you would like to view your course in portrait mode, you need to lock your screen orientation setting.

If you are waiting for an email from but have not received any, it may have landed in your junk mail or spam folder. Please check through there first.

It may also be necessary for you to whitelist the email address. Adding the email address to your contacts will usually send any emails from that address to your inbox. You could also go to your mail settings, find the feature that handles junk emails or safe sender lists, and add the email address to that list.

Go to the login page and click on 'Forgot your password?'

Enter your username or your email address, and an email will be sent to you to reset your password.

Go to 'MESSAGES' on the navigation bar and click 'Send message' from the drop-down menu.

In the recipient input box, start typing the name of the course and choose the name of the course from the drop-down menu with the text "(Only Instructor)" attached to the end. For example, "Understanding Derivatives (Only Instructor)".

For general questions that are not addressed in the FAQ, you may contact the System Administrators via the internal messaging system located at the navigation bar.

Go to 'MESSAGES' and select 'Send message' from the drop-down menu, and in the 'Recipients' input box, you should select 'System Administrators'.

Certificate verification can be requested from our System Administrators, but you are required to have authorisation from the learner beforehand.

The photo is required to reduce the possibility of any cheating incidents.

If your device does not have a webcam, you may stop and continue your session on a different device that does have a camera, such as a mobile phone. Your progress will be saved.

When you fail all the available attempts on an assessment, you can still have another chance to complete the course.

Send an email requesting to reset your progress to Don't forget to include your username and the course title. Your progress for the related module will also be reset, and you will need to redo it.

For certain achievements, you will receive a specific badge, e.g. you will receive the Learning Adventurer badge for completing four courses.

The points are used for the leaderboard ranking.
